The Casa de Cultura Somovimento , is located in the city of Salvador-Bahia, at Rua Democrata 21, in Dois de Julho, an important historic district of the city.

The house has the infrastructure of a large dance room, music studio, multimedia room and rooms to accommodate people who wish to do artistic residency. In March 2020, we opened our virtual windows with the proposal to disseminate art independently to make it accessible to everyone. Led by Vera Passos and Nei Sacramento, our aim is to contribute to the artistic and cultural training of professionals, children, young people and adults and to be a reference center for African Diaspora culture through dance and music, acting in an integrated manner.

Our commitment to culture is to affirm the presence and memory of the ancestral knowledge of African matrices in Brazil. The goal of teaching is to contribute to the emancipation of the individual, self-knowledge and the fostering of dialogues of equality and possibilities for all.
